James Ballard grew up just outside of Dallas, and moved to Tampa area in 1992. He is a tax partner in the Ernst & Young Global Compliance and Reporting practice with approximately 17 years of experience in serving both public and private sector clients. James specializes in income tax accounting under ASC 740, is a frequent speaker on related topics, and has served on audit teams for large public and private clients. He also has significant experience in U.S. corporate income tax compliance for large consolidated groups, and also delivers Federal and international income tax consulting, including cross-border tax consulting for U.S. multinationals and Foreign companies with investments in the U.S. James holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in accounting from the University of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He resides in the Tampa area with wife Kristi, and two young children.
